My Diary---a cold wind blew today

1 minute read time.

The wind was very cold today but and yet the skies were a lovely blue, so if you managed to stand out of the wind the sun felt warm.

We did the housework and got all the chores out of the way then I answered my facebook friend's and emails that had mounted up so that we could go off  to Tankerton in the car as the dog is always barking for us to take him on his walk.

When we got to our destination we wished we had never come as the North wind was blowing so bitter and I hadn't bought my gloves.

We decided to walk around some of the roads and get away from the sea front which was fun as we got lost and had to work it out how to get back to the sea front.

We came out by the 2 cannons that sit on the slopes by a flag pole.

One of Two Cannon's at Tankerton Slope.

The flag pole with a pair of listed cannons from an 18th century ‘ship of the line’ set on concrete carriages.

Further to the west is the signal beacon (a copy of the beacons used to warn of invasion in the Napoleonic era).  We played ball with Louis and let him race around to wear him out before setting off back to home and the warm.

Hot soup for lunch and a rest soon warmed us up.

On facebook today is this news --which I wish would be available soon but all the things they find are always for years ahead and we need it NOW!!!.

Hi Mavis - lovely photograph, as always - thank you.

Ah - dendritic cell therapy.  I have been looking at that one too!  There are some clinics in Europe (well Germany)  who are using this, but it is taking some time to become mainstream.  There are some clinical trial going on and  I think that this the way treatment should be going - and probably will, but only if the big pharmaceutical companies .... well, you know what I am going to say!

    Love to you both, Grace.
