We didn't get much sleep last night as 2.30am we had a "beep" and I thought that maybe the door bell button had Iced up as it did the last time it snowed, so I got up and unplugged the bell as it is one that you plug into the electric socket. Got back to bed and "beep" well it must be the phone so we unplugged that, got back in bed and "beep" well it must be the Telly so we unplugged that and finally got some sleep.
We had to go to Canterbury today as Ray had to collect his new NHS hearing aides, so I took the dog out for his walk and set off by car to the P&Ride in Sturry, it was bitter cold, and the window was iced up as Ray rolled the window down to collect the ticket.
Caught the bus and arrived in Canterbury where we shopped for the last two presents I needed. There were so many people especially from France on a day trip and one young man asked us the time I said 12 noon and realised we had better get to Weatherspoons for a meal.
I had Carabona and Bacon
It was lovely and Ray had Sausages and Chips with Beans but as he had 3 Sausages he only ate 2 and wrapped one up for Louis, so I said he was taking the dog a takeaway --made him laugh.
We had to get to the K&C hospital for his appointment, we caught the bus there and when he took his coat off there was a "beep" oh no it was the battery on his Mobile Phone running low. I asked "and where was your phone last night" "Oh on the shelf by the bed" ekkk!!!
He had a long wait but was eventually seen and is now the proud owner of 2 Digital hearing aids.
we decided to get home as snow had fallen and some cars had a lot of snow on them so we headed straight home but as we hadn't had any snow we said we had better get our Christmas shopping in just in case we are snowed in tomorrow and over Xmas.
Tesco's wasn't crowded as it was 6pm so it was nice to shop quietly and get everything we wanted. Came to the till and as I was loading the shopping onto the belt they were playing Mary's boy child and I suddenly filled up with tears and said to Ray "This is the Christmas they said I wouldn't see and here I am shopping "
Im going to enjoy this Christmas. My Secret Santa present has arrived from a Facebook mesowarrior, I do not know from who and I have to wait to open it on Christmas day and have a photo taken with it, I will put one on here, Soooo exciting
The shopping has been put away and we have relaxed after a very busy day.
