Chilham in Kent has a remarkable fifteenth century square of black and white timbered buildings. The oldest buildings in the village are thought to be the Tudor Lodge Gift shop (1370 - 1410), and Peacock Antiques (1450 - 1480).
It is well worth a visit and we strolled around with the dog before setting off to go shopping at Wincheap in Canterbury where we had a leisurely walk about and then put the dog in the car to shop in Iceland.
It was a good day as was today where we had a walk around to the beach and the Sun was beaming and it was very spring like.
We spotted the chickens in a friends garden as they usually stay in the back garden but today they had decided to come to the gate to say hello.
Then as we walked along the road a mobile phone started ringing --I couldn't see it and then realised it was on a wall.
I called out to a man who was working on putting the new Lamp posts up and he was using a mobile he had just borrowed from a pal to rig and find his --he had lost it.
He was pleased I had found it.
We had a great game of ball with Louis on the beach and then walked home to lunch Cheese melted on a baguette and tomato .
The washing has dried really well in the sun which is one good thing.
Tea tonight I have had smoked salmon wrapped around soft cheese and mayonnaise and a jacket potato --that was delicious
