Days 10/11/12/13 Chem 3 A Wild Weekend

5 minute read time.
IThis was the day I was really looking forward to as we had made arrangements to meet with several friends to camp at the Caravan and Camping site at Canterbury. I was still being sick through the night was hoping it would get better to allow me to get away. As the morning went on I got better and better so we took Louis for a long walk even though I was very shaky but it was good as the sun was shinning and the tide was in so all was looking good. We had Lunch of toast and cup a soup and then finally set off in the Motorhome. Russell was already there to greet us -blowing kisses to me —bless. We set up next to Gerald and his lovely Golden Labrador Tess and then everyone converged into our M/Home as Russell came in with tea and coffee with a dash of whisky to keep out the cold. We all had a great laugh as the m/h filled up with friends as they arrived two by two and we squashed up –the most surprising thing was Louis let them all in and even slept in the cab –now that is unknown. The site is very nice and so near Canterbury where we have all made arrangements to walk or go by bus to the City Centre to the German Market tomorrow morning. At 5pm everyone went to cook their Dinners, we had a meat pie and mash with peas and then mango and semolina and now we are relaxing in front of the telly. So a early night and up early. So a early night and up early. have had the time of my life at Canterbury this weekend as I met up with friends from all far and wide who thought it would be a good idea for us all to stay at the Caravan and Camping Club site at We all got up on Saturday and rode the bus into town (although 2 of the men walked in)
We did some shopping in the very busy shops full of French tourists who find our prices cheaper than home.
There was a terrific Opera singing buskin so we lottered around listening to him.
Weatherspoons was the meet up point and we were glad to get in the warm and have a very nice meal.
Santa (me really) gave Russell a present –which he was delighted with.
The meal was good and I had meat pudding chips and peas very nice it was too.
We left there and caught the bus back to the site.
Of coarse a sleep was the order then after reading the paper and a coffee.
In the evening we all went into one M/H squeezing so many in and had a drink and a long chat.
I had a long sleep Sat night.

Sunday we woke up to pouring rain so I did walk the dog around the site then ray went up to get a paper and the heavens opened and he came back so soaked he had to change.
I got dressed up as we were all going over the golf club for a Xmas dinner where 7 more friends joined us that had come by car this was really nice.
The food was brill and I ate the lot –well I did do a doggie bag for Louis.
We were all bloated and after a lot of joking around (I did the Can Can with Russell even though I had no balance) we said our goodbyes  to those that had come by car and set off for the camp.
We all had a good sleep and then met up again in the evening in one M/H and stayed to very late all talking about our lives.
So this morning we have all tidied up our M/H’s and said a sad fair well –lots of hugs and kisses and the promise we will meet up again soon.
At home the washing machine goes on and the washing is done but we are shattered.
It has been a very good weekend Canterbury  did me a world of good.
I felt really well and full of life although all the talking and laughing has ruined my throat and I have a real husky voice now.
So happy this has really perked me up, Thanks to all 14 of you xxxxxxxxxxxxxx my very dear friends.
Sue and Gilbert are stayng on the site all week so looking foreward to them coming tomorrow to visit us –but thats another day.
