Today was a better day as the sun shone brightly, I decided to have a walk with my dog and Ray around the Park.
Off I set very gingerly with my trekking stick and was getting along fine.
Stopped to talk to my neighbour and was so surprised Des (her husband was home from St Thomas's already and he was doing so well.)
That made my day, that he had got through his heart Op, was home and he would be out for a little walk in the fresh when he was ready.
I raise my glass to you Des.xxx
Off we went, very shaky, around and Louis seemed to be walking with his head held high and really pleased that I was there, as he keeps his pace down to mine.
Animals are weird they do seem to really understand, although there are times he doesn't, when he brings all his toys to me to throw them and play with him, this is always in theevening about 7.30pm.
We completed the circuit and I was glad to get back indoors and rest up, infact I feel asleep.
Ray came in to say he had spoken to Des who had just had his little walk in the fresh air, he is in very good spirit's.
2 invalids together aren't we.
I rested and found the fidget sets in --I didn't want to be sitting --I didn't want to be standing it is the weirdest sensation.
But we had lunch and then I did manage to drop off again watching a DVD --why do you fall asleep near the beginning then wake up with the ending music playing and titles rolling.
Ray then decided to put the dinner on and made a super Apple Crumble--he is really getting good at being a chef.
So I had stir fry chicken noodles in a sauce and the wonderful apple crumble no wonder. No wonder I'm not loosing weight my hips will get bigger soon all this eating and no excercise.
I washed up to help him and then suggested we took Louis round again as the weather forecast was very heavy rain but it was still fine and the fireworks were once again in the sky it added to another great walk with my stick, to watch a pretty sky filled with so many rockets and stars bursting all around us. Like a Walt Disney film and we were the characters of the film.
These moments are just magical and I treasure them all..
Came back happy sat down to watch X Factor, which this week was a great show--even the twins did great this time. Music is my life as I have been surrounded by it since a small child.
I was on the stage at 4, in my lovely costumes that Mum had made, always was a dancer and I spent my life winning medals for tap dancing and ballet and I dreamed of joining the Royal Ballet, but my height took over and I was told I wasn't suitable --that was my biggest blow in life and came when I was only 15.
So I trained at my Tech school as a chef --a bad second in my life. Dancing was my life.
I was tired again by 10pm so went to bed and watched telly until I fell asleep and Ray turned the light off on another lovely day.
Then back the light went on and I was ill with my bucket.--the taste of the tablets and the taste of chemo were over powering.
I have slept right through though to 5.30 so I have had a good night.
