Day 21 Chemo 3 A very frosty day

1 minute read time.
Well day 21 again so this journey is nearly over with the Chemo.
I woke at 7.30am and couldn't believe I had slept right through the night, after all the sleep I had all day yesterday.
I feel very emotional though, that I have to go through another session, as I know by Thursday I will be feeling very weak, sick and unsteady, that I will need a stick again to walk in the garden.

We woke up to a very heavy frost,( that lasted all day.)
So got up and showered, had breakfast and Ray had to go to the Docs, to have his blood pressure taken (which turned out to be OK)

I saw the shopping delivery in, as I had all the cupboard items delivered so that ray has only to shop for the freezer items, just to make it easier for him, I also did all the house work, spraying everything in Bleach to make sure that no germs are living, as I don't need any naughty bacteria to make me ill, as I go into my 4th Chemo session.

We had a cuppa soup and then took the dog for a long round walk and the tide was in --my favorite time, but it was so cold, I had a scarf around my mouth again which does warm the air I breath.

We had some toast when we got back and then I sat down and had a sleep.

Ray has Iced his cake and is so proud of his creation bless him, I cant wait to eat it, he delivered another one he made for our dear neighbour Dave as he got back from playing Golf, He was over the moon with it and gave ray a drink of his homemade Plum Vodka he had made with Plum which you take the stones out and prick the plums and leave them to soak in Vodka, I don't know how ray came home sober but he did.

Well we are chilling out again and soon off to bed so I will say goodnight .

Great cake.  I hope all goes as well as possible on Thursday.  I think you said you are having six cycles of chemo, so you are half way there now.  G picked very quickly after his chemo finished,  you will fit to  be out and about in the motor home just as the weather improves.  We are spending  Christmas with our grandchildren Last year we didn't want to risk G getting a cold or worse from them, so only made a fleeting visit.

Best wishes for a peaceful Christmas, and a good new year

  • Because it has put my nasty to sleep after 2 sessions they are only giving me 4 --Im very pleased about that.

I have a scan in January so we will see what is going on.

    Have a Happy Christmas

    Mavis xx
