Day 16 chemo 2 Quiet day and a bottle of sherry

1 minute read time.

It has been a quiet peaceful sort of day.

One that passes by with ease.
We did the washing which we hung on the line out in the lovely sunshine and breathed in the  fresh air, it was a lovely day.
We had a quick lunch of soup and then I asked Ray if we could go for a longer walk so we got ready and set off with the dog.
But it was windy when we got up the road and  I said I felt I couldn’t make it round on the beach, so we changed our plans  and came back through the alleyway to the old Seasalter Church.
It was good to get back in the warm though.
I had a rest in the armchair and then made a meat pie for dinner and roasted vegetables.
The door bell went and my next door neighbour came in with my Xmas Pressie –a bottle of sherry.
He has a hamper every year and which has a bottle of Sherry in it, that he doesn’t drink so I get the Sherry.
Bless him he is so sweet
We chatted away as he has been visiting family and we caught up on each others news.
After dinner it was chillout time again and I was answering emails when I got one from a friend asking me to go to Canterbury C&CC in December, so of coarse I said yes and then on the Forum others have agreed to join us so we are having our own rally and will go Xmas shopping together and have a meal out although our friend Gereld will love the long walks that are around the area.
Russell will be able to also take his beloved dog, Jenny, for a good run.
It will be great to meet old friends again.
So a quiet day has ended up very exciting.
