Day 14 Chemo 3 the Visitor's

1 minute read time.
I couldn't sleep, I think I was to tired and exhausted to sleep.
I got up at 1.30am then went back to bed to try again, which I think I did drop off but was up at 4.30am again.
My ankles were well swollen, this seems to happen in the middle of the 21 days so I think it must be something to do with my Immune system.
So I took the water tablets which of coarse send's me running to the loo.
We were expecting our Friends Sue and Gilbert today so we tidied up and I prepared a Stilton and Broccoli soup and baked some rolls for lunch.
They rang to say they were in the car park which had ray running down to meet them.
Sue turned up with a bunch of gorgeous flowers, that she thought were real, but they were artificial, as she had bought them in my Londis and they are for people to take to hospital, as you cant take real flowers now because of the germs.
It didn't matter as they were very nice and I added them to my vase.
We had lunch and chatted the afternoon away until it got almost dark, which meant Gilbert wanted to get back to walk their 2 little dogs before dark.
We said our goodbye's and promised we would see each other soon.
I was tired but it was another great day and I feel so well which is pleasing.
I made dinner which was Lamb meatballs in an Apricot sauce with jacket potatoes.
Relaxing again this evening as tomorrow I have to be up early to go for the Thyroid Bi-op, which I'm not looking forward to.

Hi Local Van, oh i had to laugh when you said your friend thought the flowers were

real, i bet she was in shock. Your doing

great, keep it up my love.

    With Love Lucy Lee.

  • It was very funny --Sue said get them in water and \i sad but they arent real --her face was a picture --but I love them as they will last longer than fresh.

I hate when people spend a fortune on flowers and in about 4 days they are dead.

    keep smiling

    Love Mavis

    hi Mavis

Some of my friends have stopped bringing flowers, which I do love.  I have got used to having fresh flowers as I've been lucky enough to have some every week since diagnosis in May!

But I complained the other day about how quickly they seem to die so am now getting food parcels...jam donuts, cream cakes, fudge - I will be the size of a house soon!

    Hope today went well x
