New to this site and could do with some help please.

Less than one minute read time.

Hi, This is the first time I've posted anything on here and I'm not quite sure what to do or how to do it.  My husband was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, and also liver cancer, last Novemeber and has had chemo for that.  It seemed quite sucessful and he has had a fairly good quality of life for a good few months.  However during the last 4 weeks or so he has taken a turn for the worse and I don't know if it's his cancer or his mind that are playing up now. He has a pain in his right shoulder now and we're not sure what it is.   He's going for an x-ray Wednesday or Thursday to see if we can find out whats happening. Finger crossed that it isn't anything too serious.

Good luck getting it checked out. I get odd pains and panic about it a lot, so I get it checked out and my GP and oncologist are amazing now!

Thank you all for your concerns and best wishes and advise. ...  We went for the xray today and now we have to wait for the results.  But he seems to be going downhill fast.  All he's eaten today is a small cereal for breakfast . Homemade soup and about a quarter of a bread roll for lunch.  Then a bowl of custard for dinner. He said it made him feel sick just thinking about food.  He's been sick twice this evening. I worry  that if he doesn't eat enough he won't keep his strength up  to fight the cancer.   He just lay on the settee tonight drifting in and out of sleep  and feeling cold. - I have the heating on full and I'm just in a tee shirt and skirt; . Why oh Why can't they find a cure for this terrible illness.  Thank you all again. xx

Hi Everybody, Hope you're all keeping as well as can be expected.  Sorry I've not been on here for a while, but I've had a traumatic couple of weeks. My hubby was put on morphine based pain relief, but the dose was too high and he was like a zombie for several days.  Got that sorted out eventually, then he started being sick after every meal. Then he got a chest infection and had to go on antibiotics.  Anyway all seems sorted now.  Today he's had a stent fitted so we just need to wait now and see what happens when that all settles down. All the best to all Take care. xx
