TOO ILL TO LAUGH??

1 minute read time.

Are we really going to have to go through the "jokes" debate again?.... are we all too "ill" to enjoy a sense of humour?... just for the record , i have terminal cancer... and yes i do take it seriously... but for goodness sake people... why all the fuss over some jokes, dont you know laughter is the best medicine?... and look... really... you have the freedom of choosing NOT to read them... am i not normal in how i chose which blogs to read/reply to?... i scroll down, see what catches my eye ,then CHOOSE which ones apeal to me... is this not normal?

sometimes i feel a bit low and need cheered up... sometimes i like to think i can help others... sometimes i can`t bear to read sad blogs cos they are too close to home, if im in the mood for a laugh and see a joke i read it... if i`m not i don`t ... why is that such a big deal?

on the 17th of march (st patricks day) yes i`m irish, it will be 2 years since they told me i had 3 to 4 months to live, and i have tried to fit in as much joy and laughter to every day... part of the reason i`m still here, i think... so come on guys.... give us a break, and laugh a little... life really is too short for these petty arguments .... dont want to laugh??... then dont read

I agree completely with you Liz, if we don't laugh, we would cry. I choose the best medicine every time..laughter..love Carol x

  • I agree it is a shame that there is this disagreement on the site again. I thought they'd sorted it out by the creation of the Jokes Forum but perhaps those who consider their humorous anecdotes should be put into blog form then perhaps they should put the word 'Humour' in the title?

    *loud applauds*

Its just commonsense Liz, sadly it seems to have been removed along with some of our tumours!!

This is partly the reason I no longer come to the site very often.  When I do its to check up on the people I have come to know that are not on my facebook and to welcome new people.

This has done nothing to restore my faith!  Just because we are "ill" doesn't give us the right to be mean or nasty there are just a few too many people that seem very eager to jump into the middle of any row on here, no matter what started it.

Very well put Liz.  Like you say if you dont want to read a particular blog, then you don't.

I have considered leaving this site once again because I cannot believe that we are not to be allowed to have some humour in our lives because other deem it offensive. I participate in a lot of posts but also enjoy have a bit of humour take my mind off what is a very difficult time for me.

I am seriously fed up with others dictating what and what we are not to read.  I hope admin takes note!

Best wishes to everyone, Christine xx
