g.i jane/liz

1 minute read time.

today i took control of losing my hair, and shaved it myself, i got my daughter to take pics, so im hoping i can put them on here... if it doesnt work... sorry

i wanted to put them on here because i think its important to show that it is only hair and that although i consider myself to be very vain, it really does boil down to 2 main things... of course cancer sucks.... of course chemo sucks, but chemo isnt a punishment, and it could save your life. i know men have a problem losing their hair too, but the chemo comes to an end ... and hopefully it will work too,

this is my second round of chemo in 2 years so my hair hadn`t got very long since the last lot.... but it does grow back

by the way.... i dressed like that on purporse ... he he he hope ya all like it.... my family nick name me g.i. liz.... so i thought i`d look the part for the head shave

good luck to everyone, i feel great taking control myself

    Hey liz,

You are so right about taking control. Losing clumps of hair over several weeks does nothing for your confidence. I have shaved my head twice so far and as you say, it does grow back. The pictures are great and you look amazing. You definitely look like a winner to me. Hope the chemo goes really well,be thinking of you.

                          Lots of love, lizzie xx

  • You look stunning with or without hair! What a brave lady and a true inspiration to others.

I love your kitchen too... and the dog is cute!

    Best wishes,
