We did it!

1 minute read time.

Whewww!!!!  It's over.  #6 done and done.  YAY!

Today's last hit went well.  Thought I'd just jot this down before turning in for the evening.  Terry's feeling pretty good . . . lots of steroid sluggishness tonight, which he said he didn't really notice so quickly after treatment before.  But he's so relieved to be done with chemo.  The doctor was extremely happy with the labs.  Anemia much improved, white count was over 6.0, and she said he looked very healthy, considering all he's been through.  LDH was 220 (just at the high end of normal, though.  Was 185 the last time, but we're not going to obsess over it.  Everything else looked great!

The next PET is scheduled for October 4th.  We'll meet with the doctor and go over the results the next day, on the 5th.  His Deauville score at mid-check was 3 back in July, so we think we have a real shot of achieving that magic score of "1" on the next one.  The light at the end of the tunnel is there, for sure.  It will be hard, waiting for the results, but together we'll get through it.  Terry is one hell of a fighter.  Much braver and stronger than I could ever be.

Will try and post updates as the week after his last treatment unfolds this next week.

Hope all is well with everyone else!
