Well what a day, the weather was glorious sunshine, the race for life was fantastic. I got up up at 7 this morning not knowing what to expect and if i would be able to get round the 3miles but yessss i did it. I managed to do it in under an hour, think it was something like 47mins when i crossed the finished line. I would do the race again in a heart beat.
It was so moving seeing all the reasons why people where racing, and i couldn't believe how many people were there today, it was amazing. After the race we all set off to the restaurant for lunch and it was lovely, the waiter set up some tables outside, which i thought was lovely of him, so we sat in the sun and drunk and ate, which was much needed as i was so hungry. I am very proud of my two sisters my mum, auntie and family friend ann for all taking part with me, and raising money for this well worthy cause.
so all there is to do now is relax for the rest of bank holiday, ready for my 2nd op on tues, and start collecting all my sponsorship money.
