Arimidex

Less than one minute read time.
I have just started to take Arimidex and wondered when side effects are likely to kick in.

hi lin, everyone is different, i started to take it last march, and started chemo the following week so it was hard to tell which caused which side effects, but i finished chemo in sept, and noticed the aches and pains have eased off gradually since about jan, now, apart from feeling a bit stiff i feel quite normal, the sensation in my heels was the weirdest but even that has eased off.good luck with all your treatment.   liz xx

  • Hi Linfel,

The SEARCH box at the top right of the page is just like accessing Google (for this site). If you type the word Arimidex into the box it will take you to threads where this has been discussed before. To access the threads click on the blue typed headings or the word Arimidex. Read these and they may help give you some answers. All of these drugs have side effects - some worse than others!  If you have a problem then send me a personal message and I'll see what I can do to help. This site is confusing at first and it takes time to learn to get around.

    Good luck,

    KateG

You may not get any side effects, i started this drug in December and had no problems at all until last month when a rash appeared all over my body, it seems i had an allergic reaction to it and am now on aromasin which seems to be just the same - it strikes us all in different ways oh and sorry to have to say this but i put on 6 kilos even though i am on really healthy diet and began exercising again, it seems as the oestragen dries up we put on weight around the middle.  Oh well better than having cancer anyway.  good luck with it xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
