Went to hospital last night for visit, he was not looking good, but determined to get home on Monday. At 87 it will be a struggle for him and mum who is 84, but all the family will be there for them. I feel scared!!

It is nice he is going home to be with his wife .I am sure lots of help and been put in place and to have his family around to help is great.
Of course your scared i think there are others like you.
He will be so pleased to be at home with his wife and family. I know thats where I would want to be. My mum is 82 has terminal pancreatic cancer and is just picking up after a bout of infection/illness. She does not like being in hospital and loves it when she is back home with us. Your Step dad and his wife are strong to be fighting this too at such an age. good luck to you all and big hugs
Hi I wanted to thank you for responding to me, I have not done anything like this before and not very good at it, You look like a lovely kind lady and God bless you and your family, My mum went to the hospital last night with my sister, as I was doing a 10 mile sponsored walk for the cancer ward of the hospital my step-dad is in. Mum said he was looking a bit brighter again, and looking forward to getting home.
Hi I am sorry to hear about your mum, it is really sad when they get to that age and end up with this terrible illness. I am really grateful to you for getting in touch with me, it is really nice to be able to speak to other people, I think it will help me alot. You must be a very kind and caring person, and it is no wonder your mum wants to be home with you.
Mum went to the hospital last night with my sister, I was doing a 10 mile sponsored walk for the cancer ward of the hospital my step-dad is in, I managed the walk in 2 and a half hours, have sore head today as had wine aferwards on an empty stomach, not good! I am really worried about mum she is exhausted travelling back and forward to the hospital, but we will have to hope everything will be ok when my step-dad gets home tomorrow.
