    Hi Jinty 62,

    Ouch literally.

My familly and I moved to France 6 years ago and seriously we have never looked back!!!

I don't know if Italy has the same policy as France but within 4 days of coming to France as an emergency case my dad had to have a defibrilator fitted for serious heart problems, would he have had the same in England? NO they only started doing them 2 years ago and not for people of my dads age and health. I kid you not at 55 in England dad was told 'your old, your dying!' In France 'you are young we must do something' . That is one parent saved.

Now mum at 65 has been diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread. No postcode lottery here you need treatment even for something so severe so what they give it!

Check the policies there. As here very rare someone gets MRSA from treatment and they are more willing to do everything they can, so before you cancel all check who will give you more. Who knows it might make a big difference.

I know this is a difficult time but it could make a big difference.

    hugs and best wishes

Your Consultant sounds like a condescending pr**k!  I'm impressed by your self-control in not slapping him.  Not the sort of person you want to deal with when going through this sort of thing, so I hope his skills are better than his chairside manner.

Like everyone else, I'm hanging on for the next instalment...

Listen to Sue and stop with the cliffhangers...

It wasn't just a curry then eh? hmmm I can see where this plot is going....

9 more months by my reckoning (though never could coun't).. better get possession of the big shiny mac and do your finger exercises... we don't do suspense..

And I know what you mean about the you're joking thing... I got so fed up with it, I said yes I am to one person... then, oh sorry, only joking.. I'm not (but that wasn't very nice of me and I am sorry)

Keep typing, and I'll get the tissues out, I think I'm going to  needi them....

    Big hug...
