According to my watch it is Saturday, according to the computer it is Sunday.
Tony Bennett may have left his heart in San Francisco, but my brain is somewhere in mid Atlantic. The cabin crew was wonderful. I was spoiled something rotten, and a friend told me, "You'll have the trollies eating out of your hand." I did too! Not enough passengers realise a simple 'please' and 'thank you' go a long way and gets you a little extra TLC from the cabin crew, whether you are in First Class, Business or Economy. Having flown in all three I should know.
If I could turn every thank you I got from Laing during his hospital stays and post diagnosis period into hard cash, I would be well off. However, a simple redistribution of his thanks to others for being so kind and attentive to me and making me feel special, which of course I am, is no pain or trouble.
Back in the day when "acts of random violence" were reported with monotonous regularity, somebody came up with the idea we should all do one a day an act of "random kindness". The idea never really took off, but the notion of it has coloured my thinking. I hope I can continue doing it and more frequently.
