Concert in Aid of Macmillan

Less than one minute read time.

It's been some time since I blogged, as I think I've moved on a lot. ALthough I've moved away from blogging I still have Macmillan close to my heart.

If there are any London people (or somebody wanting a cultural night out!) interested in a wide range of music written by 5 different chaps who got to know each other because we used the same software, then this might be right up your street.

Songcircle is a concert presented by two talented performers who like the challenge of new music. Nearly every piece is getting a premiere. I've got a solo piano piece (getting another outing, it was first performed by Peter Donohoe), a setting of a poem by Paul Verlaine, then 3 poems by Federico Garcia Lorca and 5 Japanese death haiku (sung unaccompanied) using dew as a simile for the fleetingness of life.

All proceeds will go to Macmillan, including refreshments.

If you can make it, let me know you've turned up because of this little plug. :-)

Priscilla, thanks. Doing pretty well. I'm still around but working even more silly hours at work as the workload increases. Anybody out there want to look after me and cosset me?

    It's worth a try!
