Hi, just had surgery for DCIS, lumpectomy, & mammoplasty to left breast i ( had lumpectomy, axilla glands removed & radiotherapy 17 years ago)
This diagnosis came as a complete shock , it was a large tumour but the histology showed it hadn't spread, i was very lucky, i am waiting to start a course of radiotherapy, but there is a twelve week waitng list, so i'm feeling a bit anxious..
It was a larger operation this time as the mammoplasty had to refassion the breast, i have had a lot of pain & swelling & i'm wondering if any one else in the forum has experienced similar, or am i just expecting to feel better further down the road too soon. I would appreciate any replies
