I was so nervous this morning and sort of hoped it would be cancelled as it was so icy. Fate smiled on me cause everyone was advised to WALK cause of the ice! No problems then. Over 400 santas , all ages and sizes, set off down the prom after a warm up to jazzy christmas songs, the frost was glistening everywhere and the sun was shining, a perfect day for it. I loved the atmosphere and everyone was laughing and singing, I recommend it to anyone regardless of fitness as the purpose of raising cash for the hospice was foremost and nothing else mattered. We all had a ball AND I got my medal! Never got one in my life before so thrilled to bits.
I will set about improving my fitness and signed up for 10k Manchester and beaverbrook runs next may. Guess there will be no frost to save my blushes but i will walk if I have to as money to improve cancer care is whats important and i know Ed would be proud, indeed amazed at my efforts. Indeed I ought to make a video of this journey cause if i can do it anyone can,
Thanks for all my friends support, love leisha xxx
