Not sure what's to come now it's out.....

1 minute read time.
Well after an eventful year of tests, appointments etc I was told I had a tumour in my stomach. I pushed hard to get it removed quickly and 8 weeks ago it came out. Too big and awkward for laparoscopic so full abdominal surgery was what I woke up too. 8 weeks on I have had wound issues, I'm still healing and now the first histology shows a leiomyosarcoma. Now awaiting the Royal Marsdens take on things and whether I need chemo or radiotherapy. The surgeon constantly says " my margins were great" but he would right? I'm transfixed on the fact I'm going to need some treatment post operation but I am reading such conflicting stories of post surgical treatments for these sarcomas. I am hounding his secretary for the results. No hurry is driving me bonkers. Then what about re occurrence? I was so lucky to catch it when I did but at just 35 years old I am gutted that I am now always going to be dreading my next dates scan .... Never ever felt so scared and just want to press fast forward.... Will write more when I know what the R Marsden have to say.... CB
