hi - thanks every one for your kind words - i went to see the specialist today - i was told that they had the results back from all the scan and they still weren't happy with the results - the pet scan showed something in my jaw and the lymph node in my chest so they now want me to have a ct scan of the jaw and ultra sound scan and biopsy of the lymph node - and yes - i have to wait for another two weeks for the results - hopefully then they will be able to tell me what they can offer me - they did mention giveing me chemo and radiotheraphy together - which is quiet intense but they feel that it might be my best option - but they cant say for definate - 'we will have to wait and see' - i feel very let down and not looking forward to having to go through all the waiting again - but what can i do? has anyone else heard of or had this treatment? karen - xoxo

Hi Karen,

Im so sorry you have to play the waiting game again (personally that was worse for me than actually being told I had cancer) I just tried to keep busy but did spend a lot of time on this site which I found a great support. The consultant did say to me that they may possible give chemo and rt together but hasnt gone into great detail yet, think he just wants to get the mastectomy done and then talk more from then.

Keep positive hun I know its easier said than done but the weeks will pass and then you will know where you are going.

Hi i too am waiting ! to see the onccologist dr has rang me to tell me i will receive appointment i had lung cancer 6 and half years ago had lung and lymphnodes removed and was ok !! now they did bipospy and have it in lymphnodes in neck removed some of i,t but have to have radio and chemo !! the worst thing is the waiting !! hope all goes well xx
