It's really good to get awareness for conditions that this into the public arena - but, also, it seems, into the gps' surgeries. It's awful that you were given inappropriate treatment for so long. In this day and age, that shouldn't be happening. What's happening with this drug available in USA and not here? Why not - and will it definitely become available in time to help young people now battling this condition?
I agree that bone problems have slipped off the agenda since rickets just about disappeared from the UK. I note the next entry was for Paget's Disease. I know what that is because one of my grandfather's had it. Maybe it's because the tests are more expensive and it's cheap to check up on someone's cardio-vascular system - or am I being cynical.
