G.I. Jane!!

Less than one minute read time.

Bit the bullet today and had my head shaved, was fed up having to fish hair (even short ones) out of my coffee cup and out of my food!!!!  The poor guy in the barbers didn't have very good english and wasn't sure when I said take it all off and then as he was doing it having me crying.

Feels cold but have pinched one of my teenage daughters trendy hats to wear for now as my wig bit hot and heavy, am sorting out some scarves to wear too!

Can't believe how quickly it came out and didn't really want to find a whole head of hair on my pillow!

    Hi GI,

It's tough at first but within a couple of weeks you will feel so liberated.

Hold your head up high and give everyone one of your beautiful smiles.

    Love and hugs

      Hi GI

I too am having hair shaved tomorrow as a couple of weeks after my first chemo my hair is falling out but I am grateful that I have a wig I love although the weather over the next few days is rain and wind mmmmmm do I hold the brolly to stop it getting wet or do I hang onto the wig to stop it blowing off Ha ha

I am going to hold my head up high because we have nothing to be ashamed of and we certainly didnt ask to be dealt with this situation

Good luck lady marmalade will be thinking of you tomorrow :-) x

Ha - ironic isn't it, bald as a coot on top but the hair on our legs continues to grow!

I did feel better once I had shaved off my hair, I couldn't get to grips with my wig and stuck to scarves, but you'll find what ever suits you.

Good luck Lady Marmalade, and Schoolking82 - head up!

            Love Fiona x
