Kidney cancer

Less than one minute read time.

Hi

I am new to this site and was introduced to you by a very good friend.

My gran was diagnosed with kidney cancer a couple of weeks ago and I am hoping that you will be able to give me some advice as she is 92 years old, but otherwise in excellent health and she has been given the option of having her kidney removed which she has chosen.  Anyway I will probably be better to post more information in the forum regarding her situation but I just wanted to say hello and that I am looking forward to getting to know you.

    Hi Nicki,

Welcome to the site and so sorry you need to be here. I can't help with any specific information on your Gran's Cancer or options she has. You have done exactly the right thing in saying you will post on the relevant forum.

I just wanted to say Hi and to confirm you will find all the information, support and care you could ever need on this site.We are a mixture of Patients, Carers, Family and Friends who have all been been affected by cancer in some way.

We do understand how scary it can be when someone in your family is involved. As you get to know us and learn a bit more about your Gran's illness you will get some confidence in the fact that so many on here can and do make great recoveries - the more you learn, I hope, the less you will have to fear

love and hugs and welcome again.

    John xx
