Kezzerbird...Not happy with this site

Less than one minute read time.

Finally after half an hour just trying to do a blog. I find that since the changes made to this site that myself and many other of the OLDIES who are still going from the old What Now site have vanished which is such a pity, we used to help those who are just starting their cancer journey but now alot of us have dissapeared because we have difficulty in just getting around the site. Whoever decided to change the site has obviously never been pounded with cancer treatments, you do get chemo brain and that doesn't end when treatment stops. I for one an chessed right off, I miss my old mates on here because some of us are not PC minded. Shame on you....Kezzerbird

    Hi Kezzerbird,

Firstly, I’d like to say thank you for being such a great member of the community, for offering so many members your support and for sharing your journey with us all.

I’m really sorry that you’ve not been happy with how the site works since we relaunched last year.  I completely understand how changing something familiar can cause confusion and upset, which is why we’ve tried to make sure we can support as many people as possible in understanding how the new site works and how to find the support/information you need.

I’d really like to help you get back to feeling comfortable using the community again, so please let us know how we can do this.  If there’s any part of the site you’re having trouble with or don’t know how to use, please get in touch.  We’ll be happy to walk you through how it all works, by email, phone or whatever you prefer.

    Best Wishes,

    Laura

    Hi Kezzerbabe,

Glad to see you are still at war and fighting through. I agree - I didn't like the first change and don't think they have done much to improve things. There are a lot who have flown the MacMillan nest for a number of reasons but it has changed beyond recognition. I don't visit as much as I used to and haven't seriously blogged for ages. Partly because I am fighting the world (still) and haven't as much time and partly I only blogged because of the inspiration I got from knowing that I was helping people. It was a two way thing - I had several hospices contact me saying they couldn't wait for the next blog and that kept me going in the darkest days. The site needs more people like you nd me - and we need the people on the site! How do we rekindle interest?

Hope you are still kicking cancer's ass.

    Keep smiling

    love

    Drew

    Hi Kezzerbabe

As an Oldie I would always be grateful for your blogs.  Like Drew's, they kept me smiling during some very dark hours.  I think Drew spoke for both of us: too many fights to fight and  not enough time to battle with this site!  If you can read this reply, well, it will be a first this week!

    All the very best

Hi Carol, just caught up with you and Drew, I agree with all that you say, someone needs to kickstart the site again, the years have passed by for us, but the changes haven't helped us, many of us have lost interest, we are still fighting the fight though, still suffering in our ways. Take care to you all. Tony of Old xx
