Kezzerbird.....not letting go this time

1 minute read time.

I have a date for this vital scan that was forgotten about to see if the last cycle of chemo has worked or not. I had not heard a thing from the hospital so I got on to them and as usual it was an answering machine, I did get a call back and the scan is booked for the 7th and an appointment to see the consultant on the 8th. I am going to follow the complaints route via ICAS and involve PALS and anyone else I can think off, I am sick and tired of chasing a bunch of bastards who are playing games with my life and this has got to stop, not just for me but for others people who are dying when they don't have too, enough is enough. I told the hospital that I wasn't going to be waiting weeks for a scan, not a chance and I am not waiting weeks for the results either, I was told it would be read the same day and the consultantant will have the results (I will believe it when I see it) so it is time for action and letters to be written, if you guys can come up with ideas for me, that would be great. I think my case will end up being in the public eye very shortly. We should be fighting cancer and not fighting to get the treatment we deserve also, some one has to stand up and say  THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Love and hugs to all who want them..lCarol x

    Carol,

I'm outraged that you have ben treated (or not!) so badly.

Make you complaint and make it loud.  Tell the hospital you intend to involve the local and/or national media.  I found that really makes them jump through hoops.  Drastic I know, but when  my husand needs treatment I do anything to get it for him.

The disgraceful part is that you should have to complain in the first place. Fighting cancer is a big enough battle with having to fight the system at the same time.

Good luck in both your fights

    Hiya Carol,

Can only echo what the others have said and say that it is so unfair and that I will support you in any way I can. Hope it all gets sorted quickly because the disease is the only thing you should have to fight!

                       Thinking of you,

                             Lots of love,

                                     lizzie xx

I'm with you Carol. I already have a formal complaint to my PCT for misdiagnosis, in fact I have a court case happening soon.

I never got an apology from the barstewards so I thought I would make them say sorry in court. Thats all I want not money, but for them to buck their ideas up and to offer more tests.

As for the care I got after the event it was first class.

I wonder why? Good Luck and Take care Love Julie X

Carol i think its disgusting the way you are being treated, dont these doctors realise that stress is the last thing you need right now. You must do what you have to do and i for one will be right behind you, just like so many of your friends on Mac. My hubby had a hip replacement operation 12 weeks ago and his in more pain than he was before the op, he has a hard lump sticking out on the op site and he can hardley walk. we are going to see his doctor at the hospital on thursday and im going to refuse to leave the hospital till thy find out whats going on, sometimes you have to stand your ground to be heard, i know my hubbys problem is trivel compared to yours but surely we all have the right to expect decent health care , after all im sure everyone of us have paid for that right. Keep us informed , we on Mac are

    are here for you.

    With Love And Hugs
