Hospital Parking.....now I find out!

Less than one minute read time.
Hi Guys................Found this in our local paper! CANCER PATIENTS NOT BEING TOLD ABOUT REDUCED RATE PARKING A cancer charity claims that regular patients of hospitals in Cornwall and Plymouth are not being told about special parking rates. Macmillian Cancer Support said that while Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (I attend this one) and Derriford Hospital are better than most hospitals elsewhere in the UK they were not doing enough to let regular patients know about concessions available for parking. RCHT said that it always offered free parking for cancer patients who attend the hospital regularly and advertised the fact on carpark signs (MY FOOT! we never saw any bloody signs) So that is a part of it, dear life, so not only was I ripped of with paying for my drugs last year, I was also ripped off with paying a small fortune to attend the bloody hospital, well I suppose it was my own fault for getting cancer. SHAME ON ME Love and hugs to those who want them........................Carol the chesed off Kezzerbird

Totally agree about parking charges for ANY Outpatients being wrong especially at A&E, the last thing you want is to be feeding meters when you never know how long the wait is.

Its not as if we enjoy hospital visits, parking charges are a tax on the sick & many hospitals do not want to charge but are forced to.

These charges are nearly as bad as the phone system our hospitals use whereas they charge prohibitive call rates.

Ive attended many hospitals regularly over the years with having Crohn's disease & wish we could get an exemption for having diseases.
