Probably the hardest talk i've had

Less than one minute read time.

We decided to tell kee what's going on and why she is so sick. It was probably the hardest thing I've had to do so far in my life, we told her that there was a nasty bump inside her head and that's what's been making her poorly and that's why we have to see the doctors in london on monday.

She asked when the bump will go away and we explained that the doctors will try make it go away, but they might not be able to because it's inside her head. The hardest bit was trying to explain that she won't be able to go to school all the time, because she won't be well.

Oh Penny... Heartbreaking. While I know you need to face reality sometimes the results of the treatment give a longer time. Let's hope. Take each hour/day as it comes & enjoy Kees to the hilt. Try to treat her as normal as possible and not too fragile - but easier said than done. I hope your wee girl copes well with the treatment - kids are amazing. Do support each other as this is sooo hard. Accept any help available from grandparents and the like as you struggle. Heartfelt thoughts - sending you strength, Jan.
