V quick update from hospital.
All went well, although there was never a chance I would go home tonight. The one doctor who said that may be possible must not have done to many of these type of operations!
No results for a while yet, but thanks for the support from so many people. I'll go back to watching the faries dancing behind my eyelids now. Got to love a nice opiate you can self medicate with. :)
The previous post covers the lymph system, but I think I am getting closer to understanding why they keep wanting to remove parts of me. When it still feels like this is a pretty small tumor.
MicrometastasesMicrometastases are areas of cancer spread (metastases) that are too small to see. If there are individual cells, or even small areas of growing cells elsewhere in the body, no scan is detailed enough to show them…
I've never really understood the lymphatic system. I know it exists, and I've vaguely tried to find out in the past, but it never really understood. However, as I about to lose part of it, I have made myself learn about it. Maybe most people know... but anyway, here is what I found out.
The Lymphatic System:
The lymph systems includes a number of different thing that we all know about. Bone Marrow, spleen…
It seems I have made some minor errors with the pictures last time! As cute as Wall-E is, I suspect he is not a surgeon.
As an aside, I can't believe some people don't know who Wall-E is! I'm sad for you!
Right, enough silly Disney pictures. :)
Here is the actual machine. It's called a Da Vinci. I'm not 100% sure they will use this, but the surgeon did mention it. To be honest, I think it looks ****ing…
