I'm back in town!

1 minute read time.
Hi Everyone - and thanks ever so much for the lovely messages. It made me feel happy reading them, knowing they were sent by people who are battling this coward and also by those who are carrying the heartache of losing someone they loved. So, this is the first time I have been on site for what seems like ages, and I've missed all of you. I am still plagued with the breathlessness, but I went out with Mick today for a walk (a very slow walk) along Regents Canal in our part of Hackney, so at least I am back into getting exercise, albeit at the same speed as the Six Million Dollar Man, when he was in slow motion, lol. When I logged on, I noticed that I have rather a lot of PM's, and whilst I promise I will get around to answering them, I thought this wee update would let you all know that I was back in town. I start my course of radiotherapy on 25th February, which will hopefully do something to alleviate the breathing problems, plus deal with the small localised mass of cancer which is at the centre of my chest. I'm feeling very positive about the whole busiiness, even though I loathe radiotherapy - absolutely loathe it. My GP has prescribed extra Lorazepam for me to take on the days when I am being zapped, so that puts my mind at rest, as they do calm me down. I think that's all, but I have to tell you that it feels great being back on site, able to read your Blogs and get your PM's. You've all been so supportive, which has done wonders for my self esteem - it does lift you up when so many people reach out to you. Finally, I would like to thank you all for being the kind and caring people that you are. I hope all of you are well and that someone is caring for you, with lots of love kate xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Loved the reference to the Six Million Dollar Man in slow motion!  LOL!  I was just talking to somone about that long lost show last week.  Keep up the good work and maybe you'll be running like the Bionic Woman by next season.   I feel for you having to go through the radiation.  You are always in my thoughts and prayers!  Love you!  XXXXXX : J

Nice to see you back Kate. Keep up the gentle exercise and soon as you get through with the radiotherapy you will be more like the faster version of the six million dollar man.

    Lots of love Kathryn  xxxxxxx

I was in London yesterday at the Tate Modern, catching up with some friends.  If I had thought you would feel up to it, I would have invited you along.  I did meet our Binky who seems to be a buddy of yours as well, though I didn't realise until I came on this morning to send a PM.

Soon you will be galloping along the South Bank like nobody's business.  I hope the Radiotherapy does its business to good effect.

    love
