Latest update

1 minute read time.
Hello everyone. Too much to tell you to go into the chatroon tonight. A very good but exhausting day today. I had an hour's appointment with my dentist this afternoon just to get everything sorted before starting chemo, so I decided to kill a few birds with one stone, and went into the office to see my supervisor and catch up with friends. Some good news in as much as they have promised that there will always be a job for me; bad news in that it won't be the one I have now. Still I couldn't expect that, realistically. The REALLY bad news is that I have to give my laptop back, so from Friday lunchtime I will no longer be able to access this site. I shall have terrible withdrawal symptoms - you've become so important and such a support in a very short space of time. I will only be without the laptop for a week, while it's being upgraded, but unfortunately I shall miss our 'Not Buxton' party in the chatroom on Saturday night. And of course I won't be able to ask for your support on Monday when I see the oncologist and find out {1} the results of my CT scan this week and {2] whether my wound has healed enough for me to start chemo at last [according to the district nurse, it looks good to go now!]. I shall be thinking of you all over the weekend and hope you have a FABULOUS time in Buxton, that the wine flows freely and that it doesn't rain too much! I will certainly plan on coming to the next event. Thanks for reading this - and hoping that next time I post a blog it will be to report that I have finally managed to start zapping those renegade cells! Love, Kate xx

    Hi Kate,

Steffy and I both hope that Monday goes well for you, and that you can start chemo, we will be thinking of you, shame about the laptop, but you will have it back soon. We will miss you at Buxton, but we will raise a glass in your name, stating "we wish you were here" and "Good Luck for Monday"

    Best Wishes
