You will have noticed that one of our more prolific ovarian cancer group members – In The Pink – has been uncharacteristically silent over the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately Jackie has been in the Marsden for the past 12 days as her bowels are not cooperating at the moment. I had a lovely long chat with her this morning, and asked whether it would be OK for me to update you on her progress. She’s feeling comfortable and painfree at the moment, and will be seeing her Professor tomorrow. At the moment, she doesn’t know what treatment is being planned, but obviously the first priority is to get her bowels working properly again.
I’ll let you know when I have some more news, but in the meantime I know you’ll join with me in sending her love and best wishes.
