last week of freedom before op!

1 minute read time.
Well ive had a quiet few days,my mums changed her holidays and is away just now to majorca with her friends and is back a few days before my op so im glad about that, only problem is her cats just had kittens and ive got the lovely job of running up and down to her house a couple times a day to check on them and feed mummy cat.I cant be bothered but everytime i walk in and see there wide eyed innocent faces im glad i went down, they cheer me up so much with there antics. We went to a wedding last night and as hoped the buffet was fab (saved BF buying me a pizza on the way home!!) we didnt stay long but im so glad i made the effort to go and the bride looked stunning in a very marilyn monroe style dress, and best of all there wedding cake was from my favourite pastry shop in Edinburgh yummy! I have a wee cleanign job and tomorrow is my last day there which im glad about as im really strugling now to get up and down there two flights of stairs and clean 4 bathrooms,im just so glad they have kept it open for me to go back to them when i recover. Wed is a busy day for me got pre admission at the western at 9 am,then ive got my transplant consultant at 11 am but at another hospital then im back to the western for 3 pm to see the surgeon who is doing my op...yipppeeee,sad eh that im looking forward to meeting the guy thats going to fiddle about with my insides while im sound asleep,he's quite cute id much rather i was awake and in a nice hotel with him somewhere!!! Kids are back in half anhour so away to have a quiet cuppa before the moaning starts,i think they are so good for my dad that when they come home all hell breaks loose! Fun eh . Theres a programme on more 4 tonight Teenagers fighting cancer which although will be sad i think ill watch, might make me realise how lucky i was to have my teenage years illness free. Hope everyone is having a reasonable weekend, and speak soon. Leigh xx

I'm going to try and watch that programme tonight. Looks very emotional and could be hard viewing. But as you say, makes you realise how lucky you are.

I also had a rather good looking personable surgeon, but the fact that he saw me lying on the operating table pretty much naked, with my pregnancy stretchmarks glistening under the glare of the theatre lights and he had been fiddling with my innards sort of spoilt things.

Good luck with all the appointments this week, hope everything goes to plan.

You could write a wee note on your belly for him to read after you've been put to sleep? :) Hope you get all the answers you need on Wednesday

    take care
