kids eh!

1 minute read time.
Had a pretty uneventful Friday which was nice but didnt last long, woke this morning with a mad urge to clean the house, chance the beds ect ect which i started on my own at dark o clock, then started to shout on my daughter to get up to help and my ten year old son told me she was crying in bed,i selfishly thought it was about me so went into see her,she couldnt move her neck,at all, couldnt even sit up,so i phoned NHS 24 who asked all the qustions you could possibly think of then the nurse decides to send out paranedics "just in case" bloody hell the house was a tip,my daughter was crying harderr as she hates hospitals, nothing to do with my illness hmmmm, anyway they checked her out,all vital signs ok,they decided she had just hurt her neck and to give her pain relief and TLC all day,i wanted that !!! Anyway,my mum came up to help out and ended up doing my ironing (she is an angel) while i roped everyone else into helping my tidy up! have no idea if ill make the night out tonight, but bought a new top for going so will try my best! Glad everyone is well at the moment, and that a few of you have had good news re health, hopefully it continues. Take care and enjoy your weekend Leigh xx

I've just had a nice couple of days with OH and his friend from way back - I didn't really know him before but we had a really nice time - good laugh a break from thinking about all the stuff that 'needs' to be done before next week.

Glad daughter is ok and hope that the team have got your house the way you want it! I've given up ironing because I'm not working now and also got sick of ironing for sons to stuff into a drawer or leave in a pile on the floor - good news is that they both know how the iron works and just get on with it ;D !!!

Hope your having a 'relaxed' weekend

.... your night out. I strongly recommend that you tell your nearest and dearest to buy the little "what can I do to help" book from Macmillan. It's basically a guide to help them understand what they can really do to make your life easier through cancer, surgery etc. Since A bought a couple on ebay and handed them out with instructions to pass them on we have had countless offers to do our ironing and people coming round to make us dinner - he says it's the best couple of quid he ever spent! ;-) Even me, normally too proud to accept have let people do the washing and ironing - takes a serious weight off! Enjoy your weekend lovely Leigh, and I'll be thinking of your new top and you on an adventure!

    Hugs

your mum please......I hate ironing with a passion but like K, I used to put neat little piles on the kids beds and they climb into bed with them still on there!!!!!!!!! so I fold everything and hang the rest up straight as they dry and only iron whats absolutely necessary.

Hope you have a fabulous evening out - however long you last, might get there and find you have a second wind - much better than just wind ;)

Hope your daughter is feeling better tomorrow.
