Well that was a flying visit,im home sitting at my laptop feeling sore watching my poor mum iron (again) and Billy is keeping up to date with the washing,kids are all out and about doing there thing and for the first time in weeks i feel kind of normal!
Op wasnt too bad and surgeon was happy with everything,but as i was leaving the ward yesterday he asked when i wasnted to come in to have the other kidney removed...sorry did i hear you right,did i want it removed?? Anyway while clutching my many sore spots we agreed that we would have a meeting in the next few weeks to decide when the left one is coming out. great,at least the next time i know what to expect.
Im not writing much as id like to catch up on some blogs and read some of the boards,and hopefully keep my mind off the pain for a wee while

Hi Leigh, glad you've come through this lot ok. Good luck with the next chapter. Enjoy the rest while you can. Won't be long till your up and at it again.
Docs can be funny like that - after my first chemo, the consultant came just before I left the ward with my bone marrow biopsy results "Hi Karen! Your bone marrow is clear!" says he. "Oh great!" says I "<em>andthere'ssomebowelinvolvement</em>.."mumbles he "Oh gr...<em>what?!?</em>" say I. "We'll keep an eye on it!" says he...
I wonder how they're trained to give this news - "Right juniors! Very easy - just slip it casually into the conversation as they're on their way out of the ward - they'll be so keen to be off home that they won't stop to ask any, you know, <em> awkward</em> questions!" :)
You sound good and glad you're being looked after. Hope the pain eases soon.
