Sunday 4th February, Day 4 post 3rd EC

1 minute read time.

Well I had a better night sleep last night I did wake up at 2 o'clock o'clock 5 o'clock and 6 o'clock but I managed to stay in bed until 8.45 just dozing. It's the best night sleep I've had well I say best nights sleep I stayed in bed longer this is the latest since started this chemo journey on the 4th of January.

My taste has gone funny again today, and my bowels don't seem to want to work either today, even though, I have taken things for the last few days to try and stop the concrete setting in. I just tried a cup of coffee too, I'm finding it hard to find a drink that tastes OK, I tried milk shakes, water squash, hot chocolate,  tea and coffee. I'm going to try a nice bowl of soup for lunch and see how I do with that. I might also try some hot bovril, I need to keep my fluids up. I have pineapple juice to and some fizzy drinks to try, surely something will taste OK out of all that lot. Fingers crossed Fingers crossed

I tried to do a little pruning in the garden, but every time I bent down it  made me feel a bit giddy and sicky, so I have to trust hubby not to crucify the garden. It's strange the stupid little jobs that suddenly become impossible to do. I am coming to terms with wearing creased clothing, as I  am not supposed to Iron, and hubby's scared to do. Bless him, he's doing so much looking after me. I love him to bits.

I managed the soup but it didn't rock my taste buds. I also ate a turkey & cheese roll. The best thing I had today was a protein yoghurt.

Hubby noticed a bruise on my tummy today when he did my Filgrastim injection, but it's been a week since I had an injection in that site, I might mention to the district nurse tomorrow when she comes to do my picc dressing and things.

Will try and get a good sleep tonight, fingers crossed.

Hope you all get a good sleep too. Xx
