Well today started the same as normal waking during the night and finally getting up at 6.30. Made a cup of tea and sat an watched lastnights Call the midwife. The tea really didn't have any taste at all this morning.
Hubby got up at 8 and I tried an earl grey tea, still no taste at all. I had a couple pieces of toast and marmalade, for breakfast and thought I would try pineapple juice, tiny taste but not much. I then remembered someone said fizzy coke, but nope still no good. I don't know what to try now.
I feel like someone has taken my bones out of my body, or that the power to run my body has just given up, so I'm layed on the sofa waiting for the district nurse to arrive.
The nurse arrived and checked me over a bit and took my temp, it was just over 36 so I will keep an eye on it. I need to see ever ready and get some new batteries
Paul was going to do the shopping today, but as my parents needed lots too, I decided to go with him to Tesco, I m so glad I had the trolley to grab hold of though while doing the shopping.
We went and delivered my parents shopping and stopped for a while, dad went to make us a tea, but I said I can't taste it so mum & dad said to try Oxo so I had a double Oxo, oh it was lovely I'm not sure how many drinks in a day though.
Had a cup of bovril when we got back home and I enjoyed that too, so maybe I will stick to savoury drinks rather than milk ones.
I'm still feeling rather weak but I don't feel ill so all I can think is the lack of sleep is finally catching up with me.
I am going to try a chilli chicken pizza tonight, and fruit and ice cream for desert. Its so hard keeping calories up when you can hardly taste anything that goes in your mouth.
Well dinner is done, can't say it was overly enjoyable but It's put food and calories in my belly.
Filgrastim injection done, and I think I will crawl up to bed very soon today. Hopefully tomorrow will dawn a better day for me.
I can't really complain as It's the worse day since starting all of this chemo so tomorrow I will get up get dressed and go out for a walk. It's not going to beat me.
