Monday 29th January day 12 post second EC

1 minute read time.

I actually managed to stay in bed until 8am today which was brilliant.

About 11am the district nurse turned up to take my bloods, and change dressing and flush my picc line. The blister is looking better today, but the nurse put 2 smaller dressings overlapping so that the blister was left uncovered. It was a different nurse again but she was very nice. Before she left she said that they run a clinic where I could get my picc sorted without having to wait in for them to come to my house. This would mean a 20 min drive each way for me, so I told her I'm not driving at the moment as even going for a walk I sometimes come over with a feeling of being drunk. Seeing the hospital arranged for my picc to be done at home, I wasn't willing to agree to the driving to get it done as some week my husband has appointments in the opposite direction. I don't think they can refuse to come to my home, I might be feeling OK with my Chemo at the moment but once I move on to Pax it might be a different case. Plus with covid rife at the moment, I'm keeping myself away from as many people as possible.

I spent a lovely afternoon with my parents, dad seems a bit better since he has started his parkinsons meds, and definitely looked better after I cut his hair. I also put my pink bandana on him afterwards Slight smile

My rash between my boobs has not itched so much since applying a bit of Moo goo moisturiser, so I will apply some more later.

My eyes have been a bit dry today so I will try an eye mask or some teabags on them later.

I know it's hard but try to find something fun and positive each day.

Xxx
