Had a fairly good night's sleep, without taking anything to help lastnight.
The district nurse and a student nurse arrived just before 11am, its one that has bern several times now. She changed the dressing first then, flushed the picc, before drawing blood, then she took the required bloods, and reflushed the picc. She always asks how things are going and if my skin is OK etc. Today's nurse is one of my favourites.
I went for a walk on my own today as my hubby went to play bowls. I made sure I had lots of warm clothes on including a very warm hat. It was a beautiful sunny day but the wind was bitter. I did make sure to put my sunscreen on. It is a very important thing while having chemo yo use dun protection when out and about in the sunshine. I had a nice walk and sat on a bench at our local cricket club enjoying the sun in a shelterd spot for a rest before walking home, did just over a mile which might not seem far but where I live, its more up hill than flat.
I send a message to picc pals today asking if they had a easy template for making picc covers, but they say they send out to chemo patients. So they have put one in the post for me, which is wonderful.
Today is the first day this cycle that I haven't needed gavisgon after eating, which is good.
Oncologist phoning tomorrow, so hopefully blood results will be back and all OK for Thursdays chemo.
