Well that was another chappy nights sleep, if you can call it that.
Had a wonderful chicken curry cooked by hubby yesterday for dinner. Had my second Filgrastim injection at 6.30 then went to bed at 8pm to watch call the midwife. Snoozed a little after it had finish hubby came to bed later about 10.30 and I went back to sleep then BAM 2am I'm awake again. This can't be happening again. After laying in bed trying to nod back off, I gave up, crept out of bed, in dressing gown and slippers, made a nice cup of herbal tea. Layed on the sofa under a duvet. Then looked at something to help me sleep I looked on YouTube found things called fall to sleep in 3 minutes if they work how come they go on for hours. I then downloaded a calm app, need to pay to unlock most of it so nah not gonna bother. Started feeling cold so went back upstairs and climbed into the bed in the spare room, E-reader in hand I sat and read my book. "Among the olive groves" by Chrissie Parker. Second time reading this book now. Put book down after a chapter and might have dozed for 30 minutes but then I was just laying there waiting for dawn to break.once I could hear hubby was awake I went back into our bed and warmed up while I made him cold, tea in bed and hot water bottle made me feel a bit better.
Finally gave up trying to sleep got dressed about 9am As district nurse coming to do my pic sometime today. Phoned hospital nurses to see about if I could take a Phenegran pill tonight to sleep, they said yes The nurse did say it should get better now I have finished pills. The lovely district nurse arrived about 9.45 so good I was up and dressed, she changed all dressings, clips and flushed picc line.
Hubby's done the shopping so we are well stocked up with food again. I'm not off my food at all, just sleeping problems at the moment.
Well I cooked tea tonight, well put pizzas in the oven, added extra cheese, and as you have to I tried a piece of cheese, hardly any flavour ate the pizza, knew I was eating it as it was in my hand and on my plate, but I had the heat but could only just taste anything else, which was a spicy meat feast. Ate as I was hungry, asked hubby get some nice fruit so he got me persimmon, kiwi, bananas. Tried a persimmon and it was gagworthy it was shiny and juicy but tasted like eating a bag of flour mixed with feathers.
A friend did make me laugh so much earlier when she miss read my message thinking I had someone sexy coming for tea. As I said I had a hot round thing for dinner. Meaning the pizza. I laughed so much I'm not sure how I stayed dry.
I think I might just have squishy food tomorrow, yoghurt, porridge etc see what that's like.
Injection coming up soon then I'll try a Phenagran and see if I get a good night's sleep tonight.
