Still no further forward.

Less than one minute read time.
Its now been over a year since my husband has been passing blood, and had chronic nausea and pain.Hes lost nearly 5 stone,Hes had 2 colonoscopys, 2 ct scans and 1 endoscopy, hes having another one next week. And still they havn't found (or seen) anything. I would just like to know if anyone else has been through test like this and they,ve missed things? Please im just watching him waste away, and the hospital arent doing anything.

Has your hubby had a full body scan, this doesn,t seem at all right, passing blood and being in pain is not

normal. Get a second opinion, change hospitals, a year is far far to long to suffer like this,You must be at

your wits end. PLEASE get your hubby help now, and let us know how things are going.

I will be thinking about you both, and i hope you get this sorted out as soon as.

Big Hugs to you both. Sindy. xxxx

Hi Julie - God, I can hardly believe that you and your poor husband have been on this nightmare of a rollercoaster for over a year!  It hardly seems credible that they could have put him through all those scans and other tests and STILL come up with nothing. I agree with Sindy and think it's time you requested that your husband's treatment be handled by a different hospital and a different medical team. I have never heard of anything like this before and I can hardly imagine what both of you must be going through, but you must put a stop to this now, because as you say, you are just watching him waste away. If I were you, on Monday, I would contact the hospital and demand that they give you an appointment with the consultant who is responsible for your husband's care (lack of care more like), and tell them of your distress, and what you intend doing. I think  it's bloody shocking, and I hope you will let us know how you get on. with lots of love      kate xxxx

Hiya Julie, in seven months i have had 5 ct scans, 3 MRI scans, 2 ultra sound scans, 2 endoscopies and 2 colonoscopies, had 3 admissions to hospital all trying to find a bleed in my abdomen. During the first scans they found i had Bile Duct cancer and thankfully I am about to commence treatment for this, seeing my surgeon on Tuesday.  Hope your situation improves and my thoughts are with you and your husband, take care and God Bless. They are doing a liver biopsy next week, also they want to do another colonoscopy but i am going to question the need for it (the colonoscopy)

Hiya, I agree with the others, they seem to be going over old ground. Surely they should have found the problem by now. Get a second opinion a,s.a.p. If your husband wont fight his own corner (or is too ill todo so) you really must go all out and fight for him. Do it tomorrow and dont take no for an answer. Neither you nor your hubby can go on like this. Good luck and let us know what happens. Big Hug to you both  xx
