Half way through my target time for sorting work issues out and not there yet. Did ask for a 1-1 with my line manager and also for a welfare meeting to feedback what my consultant had said about symptoms I was experiencing being stress related and not a sign of lymphoma returning but didn't get an appointment.
Anyway was ill with a bout of flu a couple of weeks ago and had to go to doctor for a sick note ... (I had holidays booked the following week and my manager always needs a sick note if you're off sick and then have holidays) ... was feeling low at the time and got quite upset so doctor signed me off with stress at work for 2 weeks. I went back this week and still struggling to lift mood so doc gave me another four weeks. Have always refused notes for stress in the past but have got to sort this out, cos feeling like this is no good at all ... doc advised that she would put work stress on the note again to make HR take note and I had to write down all the problems I have been having in a letter including adjustments I had requested that haven't happened and send it to my manager.
Well HR have taken note because I have been asked me to give them some dates when I can come in for a welfare meeting ... just waiting for feedback from my rep on availability. Have finished my letter and that is ready to go too. Hopefully this will sort things out one way or another before I have my next hospital appointment.
Not sure if this is the right or wrong thing to do but the ball is rolling so will find out soon enough I guess. Fingers crossed!l
