Dutifully drank the stuff they sent me last night and turned up at Pontefract for my ct scan appointment and then sat and drank more of the stuff for an hour before my scan. This time was told to 'pay a visit' after half an hour but then to hold in for the next half hour before scan. Never really think about needing to pee but sure enough once I got into the half hour when I wasn't allowed to go I was suddenly desperate lol! Anyway the hour passed quickly enough and dressed in my 'stunning' blue gown I toddled into the scan room and went through the usual questions. Well due to chemo haven't had a period since January so doc was a bit concerned that I might be pregnant ... resisted the urge to fall about laughing and explained my husband has had vasectomy and my sex life is non-existent ... I blame the chemo again for my dried up nethers lol! We had a laugh about it but I ended up having to take a pregnancy test, not that they didn't believe me and I am glad they stick to their checks for others, but that was where the fun started ... trying to just do a little pee in a pot for the test and keep the rest in when you're bursting to go ... oh the joys! Three minutes later we find out I'm not pregnant, doc congratulates me and then we get started looking for a vein for the iodine ... but oops all veins have done a runner ... eventually get one in my hand with smaller venflon and everything else fortunately runs smoothly. Now just waiting for results, have a clinic appointment on 23rd December and fingers crossed radiotherapy had done the business and all is clear :-)
