Last Chemo

1 minute read time.
Just got back from chemo no 8 - the last one - yey! Can't quite believe I got there, the last one seemed such a scary world away when I had my first lot of R-CHOP. Next is a four week wait to give this last one chance to work and then will have a CT scan and PET scan so that consultant can decide what is to happen next. Don't want to get my hopes up too much when tumour was so big to start off with but crossing my fingers (and everything else!) that the chemo has done the business or at least made it a lot smaller. Initial plan was to have radiotherapy after chemo was finished but consultant has told me that because of my age and that the Lymphoma is in the chest area I may have an increased risk of breast cancer later on if I have the radiotherapy so he wants to make sure that it is necessary first. Did say that if needed I will still get the radiotherapy which is a relief........and something else to get paranoid about afterwards lol! Anyway at the moment feeling great that the chemo is finished, waiting for the sickness to hit me in an hour or so but then have 3 weeks treatment and appointment free to look forward to. Jozzy x
