Went to see doctor with chest pains, had xray and turned out I had a bit of fluid on lung, side effect from radio that should go on its own. Once this was sorted felt better about going back to work so had meeting with my manager who referred me on to works occupational health. They were really supportive and offered a phased return starting with 2 mornings a week and said they would support me to return to work once doctor was OK to sign me off as fit (doctor had already said OK once current sick note ran out) just needed to wait for my manager to agree start date etc. After no word from manager for 3 weeks thought I'd best chase up and was told to get another sick note, slightly confused I got one for another week. Anyway was due to sign off on Monday but now manager wants another welfare meeting and a new referral to occupational health as not happy with what occupational health put on first report. Not sure how long this is going to go on for now ... bit worried cos DLA runs out in 2 weeks though still getting ESA. Seems weird though that doc, consultant and occy health can all say OK to go back but can't because manager doesn't agree ... if only those lottery numbers would come up lol!
Grandma back in hospital looking much better now they put a stent in, all fluid drained away from face, neck and chest. She's had another bronchoscopy and they were successful in getting biopsy so just waiting for result now so treatment can be decided on, has some fluid back on lung and she is going to get that drained off tomorrow.
