A year already!

1 minute read time.

Seems ages since I last did a blog ... can't quite believe it's been a whole year since I was first told that I was in remission.

I did the 5k race for life at Pontefract at the weekend, just at a walk because I still struggle with my breathing a bit.  My trouble is that I am too competitive and just couldn't help pushing myself ... got  to the end in just under an hour ... breathless and tired but grinning from ear to ear.  There were loads of wonderful people there and so emotional to see the number of people there and all the messages they were wearing.  Then got home, had tea and zonked out on the sofa for an hour, tired all day yesterday too but worth it.

A year on and am still feeling tired a lot, especially on work days and after exercise but it is improving slowly.  I have some days when I seem to have energy and others when I have little motivation and the day just seems to drift by me.   Its really tempting to skip the exercise sometimes but know that I need to keep it up ... wish I could skip the work but unfortunately need the cash.

My breathing is still causing a few problems but doctors have said that childhood asthma has returned and have given me a Symbicort inhaler to try and improve things.  Other causes (raised diaphragm from nerve damage and compressed lung) are unlikely to change now so am starting to get to grips with what normal is now.

On countdown to the summer holiday now, going to Newquay again in August ... love Cornwall ... am so looking forward to it.

Love and hugs to everyone,

Jozzy xx
