Ovarian cancer pain

Less than one minute read time.

Hellloo. I have just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, 3c. I started my chemo on Friday. I have severe pain in my lower abdomen which is how I was diagnosed. Since the chemo the pain seems to be worse. Has anyone else experienced this? I am trying to get back on top of the pain control but it’s very debilitating at the moment. I didn’t seem to feel bad after the chemo but now I seem to be feeling fatigue and a bit sick. Hoping tomorrow I will feel better. I am usually a very positive person but the past day has been tough. The pain is like a gnawing burning pain. Has anyone else had pain like this ?

  • Hey same here ovarian 3c had my first chemo 1 week ago I have struggled with pain just wondering if you had surgery first? I’m feeling that my surgical pain has increased since chemo and I’ve read it can mess with cells for healing (8 weeks post op) I was doing so well and off all pain relief but I’ve also noticed that pain increases again if I need a bowel movement assuming its all just sore internally and still settling down after full open hysterectomy and oophrechtomy. Day 3-5 after chemo I was very sick and tired still fatigued now ( day 8) but day 6/7 were fantastic had lots of energy so did more. Probably should be pacing myself when I have the good days.
