    hello joey

it takes a while for different tests to be done - so yes this is quite normal

it is really difficult in the early days to take everything in ..... everyone gets worried and stressed about whats going to happen and when and if and but!!!!

try to stay calm and focuss on your mum - keep visiting her and you will get strength from her and she will get strength from you - dont be afraid to ask the nurses and doctors questions

im sure she will soon be back home and you will all get back to some sort of normality

LIVESTRONG ...............hey you may wobble a bit along they way thats only normal

take care love to you and your mum

    hi joey

my mum has lymphoma and she had a needle aspiration biopsy and they kept her waiting a week only to tell her that they hadnt taken enough of a sample, so then they cut into her chest under anaesthetic and took a sample of her lymphoma, and kept her waiting two weeks for the results for that. it ended up being hodgekins, but sometimes they test the samples and they come back inconclusive so they do more tests.thats what happened with mums.there are so many different types of lymphoma they have to make sure exactly what kind it is before they can work out the treatment and start treating it. they told my mum they have to get it exactly right because of course then they can start the right treatment.my mum was kept waiting about a month in total.hope this helps you. keep in touch.

also if you need to chat more then post again because i know exactly what your going through, the waiting was horrendous. my mum has now started her chemo treatment and has taken to it fine so far. so hopefully it wont be all bad. my mums has a mass in her chest only. if they think it is lymphoma in your mum, the fact that it is all in the upper body ie- above the diagphram means it is in earlier stages, from what i understand anyway. good luck xxx

Hello! I am 42 and have Stage III follicular lymphoma which is above

and below the diaphram. The waiting for results is the worst.

I have my scan this week, but will only have to wait like 3-4 days

for results. My chemo went well. 3rd round was

the worst. I have had several biopsy surgeries which

take a toll on your body.

Just take a day at a time or even one hour at at time.

Stay strong. You can make it through this.

I will keep your mum in my thoughts and prayers.

    Sincerely,

    Pam
