I've just returned from hospital after a chordoma excision at the base of the spine. Coccyx and part of sacrum removed. Nerves have been affected meaning I have bowel and bladder complications - still have a catheter in place. Swelling in buttock area means its uncomfortable to sit down.
I would love to hear from anyone who has been through similar experience

Hi there. Hope you're recovering well.
My husband also has sacral chordoma on S3 to S5 and he's going to have an operation next Tuesday. The doctor is going to explain the operation to us day after tomorrow.
We're not sure how much has to be taken away and what the consequences are after the operation. I'm also looking for information on how to take care of him.
